Williams Partners Company Description
Fractionating natural gas liquids (NGLs) is only a fraction of what Williams Partners does. The company is also engaged in the gathering, transporting, and processing of natural gas and the storage of NGLs. Its assets include a 3,800-mile natural gas gathering system in the San Juan Basin; 60% of Discovery Producer Services (a gas gathering and transportation pipeline system running from the Gulf of Mexico to a processing facility in Louisiana); the Carbonate Trend gas gathering pipeline off the coast of Alabama; and three integrated NGL storage facilities and a 50%-owned fractionator in Kansas. The Williams Companies spun off Williams Partners in 2005, but retains a 22% stake in the firm.
