Vanguard Natural Resources is at the forefront of oil and gas exploration in the hills of the Appalachian Basin. Focusing its efforts in southeastern Kentucky and northeastern Tennessee, the company acquires and develops oil and gas properties in the region. Vanguard Natural Resources has an estimated proved reserves of 67.1 billion cu. ft. of natural gas equivalent. The company also owns an interest in 825 net and about 943 gross wells and a 40% working interest in some 95,000 acres in the area. Vinland Energy Eastern owns the remaining 60% working interest of the acreage. Vinland owner Majeed S. Nami controls 27% of Vanguard Natural Resources.
