Tyco Company Description
After its chief executive was sent to prison, Tyco International was all broken up. The company has disassociated itself from the free-spending ways of former CEO Dennis Kozlowski, who was convicted in 2005 for taking millions of dollars from the company. In mid-2007 Tyco split into three publicly held companies: Covidien (formerly Tyco Healthcare Group), Tyco Electronics, and Tyco International, which includes Safety Products, Fire Protection Services, and ADT Worldwide. Tyco International also makes electrical and metal products (steel tubing, pipes, cables) for commercial construction, and its flow control unit makes valves and related products for water, wastewater, and the oil and gas markets.
