As the world's largest ticket retailer, the company sells more than 125 million event and sports tickets a year from some 6,500 retail and about 20 telephone centers worldwide, as well as on the Web through its ticketmaster.com site. The company's more than 9,000 clients include concert venues, museums, and legit theaters. Most of Ticketmaster's revenue comes from fees it adds to the face value of tickets. Ticketmaster was formerly a subsidiary of Internet conglomerate IAC/InterActiveCorp, the brainchild of media mogul Barry Diller. In 2008 IAC split into five companies; Ticketmaster is one of the five.
