Texas Rangers Company Description

You might say these Rangers are guided by the Law of the American League West. Texas Rangers Baseball Club is a professional baseball team that plays for the Dallas area in Major League Baseball. Founded in 1961 as the second incarnation of the Washington Senators, the franchise moved to Texas in 1972. The Rangers have yet to win a pennant and made its last postseason appearance in 1999. Struggling on the field has made it difficult for the team to fill seats at Rangers Ballpark (formerly Ameriquest Field in Arlington). The team is owned by Texas businessman Tom Hicks through Hicks Sports Group, which also owns the Dallas Stars hockey team.
