Teletouch Company Description
Teletouch Communications has a different idea of what it means to "reach out and touch someone." Its line of telemetry products and services allows business and government clients to monitor remote operations, track mobile assets, and locate remote workers when they send distress signals. Through its Hawk Electronics subsidiary, the company resells cell phones and other wireless devices, as well as calling plans. Teletouch also provides two-way radio services to businesses and local government entities, notably emergency-response organizations, in areas of east Texas and it sells such emergency vehicle accessories as flashing lights and sirens. Chairman Robert McMurrey owns a controlling stake of the company.
