TC PipeLines Company Description
All gassed up and ready to go, TC PipeLines was formed by TransCanada PipeLines to manage the company's US assets. TC PipeLines owns 50% of Northern Border Pipeline, which stretches 1,249 miles from the Montana-Saskatchewan border to the US Midwest. The pipeline connects to several systems to serve other US markets. TC PipeLines also owns Tuscarora Gas Transmission, a 240-mile pipeline that transports gas from Oregon to Nevada. It also owns 46% of Great Lakes Gas Transmission Limited Partnership (acquired from El Paso Corp. in 2007). Formed in 1998, the company is managed by general partner TC PipeLines GP, an indirect subsidiary of TransCanada.
