Sun-Times Media Group (formerly Hollinger International) publishes the Chicago Sun-Times, one of the country's top daily newspapers that serves that Chicago along with rival paper the Chicago Tribune (published by Tribune Company). In addition to its flagship newspaper, Sun-Times Media publishes more than 100 other community papers serving the Chicago metropolitan region, including The Herald News (Joliet, Illinois) and the SouthtownStar (Tinley Park, Illinois). It also operates Web sites in association with most of its newspapers. Canadian newspaper company Hollinger Inc. has more than a 70%-controlling interest in Sun-Times Media.
