Smart & Final Company Description
Smart & Final caters to caterers -- as well as small businesses, restaurants, and even concession stands in the western US. Its 280-plus non-membership warehouse stores stock, on average, 8,000 items, including groceries, paper products, cleaning supplies, and restaurant equipment, in bulk sizes and quantities. The stores operate under the Smart & Final and Cash & Carry names in urban and suburban areas in Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, as well as northern Mexico. Once a foodservice operator, Smart & Final left that business to focus on its retail operations. Smart & Final is owned by an affiliate of the private equity firm Apollo Management.
