SkyWest Company Description
SkyWest flies in every direction. The company's main subsidiaries, regional carriers SkyWest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), serve more than 290 destinations in the US, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, mainly for Delta Air Lines and UAL's United Airlines. SkyWest Airlines flies as Delta Connection from Atlanta and Salt Lake City and as United Express from hubs in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. It also provides feeder service for Midwest Airlines. ASA flies for Delta, mainly from Atlanta and Cincinnati. Combined, the carriers operate a fleet of about 435 aircraft, consisting of over 350 Canadair regional jets (CRJs, made by Bombardier) and about 70 turboprops.
