SkyTel Company Description
SkyTel has taken paging to the outer limits. The first company to offer nationwide numeric and text paging services in the US, SkyTel provides wireless data and messaging services, including wireless e-mail, interactive and secure two-way messaging, and wireless telemetry services. It also still provides text and numeric paging. SkyTel's FleetHawk product is a GPS-based fleet management system and SkyGuard uses GPS technology to offer tracking and monitoring services for families (think teen-age drivers). The company is a subsidiary of Velocita Wireless.
