Salton Company Description

Salton is plugged into the modern kitchen. It has tapped into the currents of culinary gadgetry with items such as espresso makers, bread machines, grilling machines, and juicers. Salton designs, markets, and distributes kitchen and personal care appliances, as well as home décor items. It sells through mass merchants, department and specialty stores, mail-order catalogs, infomercials, and its Web site. Its products -- under brand names George Foreman, Toastmaster, Juiceman, LitterMaid, Breadman, Russell Hobbs, Farberware, Ultrasonex, and Salton -- are made primarily by independent manufacturers in the Far East. Harbinger Capital Partners, which bought Applica in late 2007, controls Salton.
