Radio One ranks #1 among African-American audiences. The largest broadcaster serving black listeners, the company owns or operates more than 50 radio stations in more than 15 markets. Its stations offer a variety of music formats, as well as news and talk shows. Radio One also has a 51% stake in Reach Media, which produces the syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show, and it publishes Giant Magazine, a lifestyle and entertainment magazine. In addition, the company owns more than 35% of TV One, a cable television venture with Comcast. Founder and chairperson Catherine Hughes and her son, president and CEO Alfred Liggins, together control more than 80% of the voting stock.
