PARIS_European plane maker Airbus said Tuesday it has met its target of delivering 12 A380 superjumbos this year _ with just 2 days to spare. In a bid to reassure customers, CEO Tom Enders had wagered reporters a magnum of Champagne during a September news conference that Airbus would reach its A380 target this year.

LONDON_British Airways PLC and Qantas Airways Ltd. called off their merger talks Thursday after failing to agree on the terms of a potential deal. In statements to the London and Australian stock exchanges, the two airlines said they were unable to decide on "key terms" despite the "potential longer term benefits" of any deal.
