PolyOne Company Description
PolyOne some plastic; you can keep the crackers. PolyOne Corporation is among North America's largest plastics compounders and resins distributors. The company's Vinyl Business unit produces custom-made compounded plastics and custom-formulated colorants for plastic manufacturers throughout North America and Europe. PolyOne also distributes about 3,500 resins from some 20 suppliers. It has operations in Asia, Australia, North America, and Europe. In 2008 it created a Specialty Engineered Materials segment, which contains subsidiary GLS Corporation's thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) business. PolyOne was formed by the 2000 merger of plastics companies Geon and M.A. Hanna.
