Subsidiaries include Variform (vinyl siding), Great Lakes Window (energy-efficient vinyl windows and patio doors), Napco (vinyl and metal exterior products), MW Windows, Kroy Building Products (composite fencing), and Alenco (aluminum windows and doors). The firm's building products are made at some 20 plants throughout North America. Ply Gem is owned by CI Capital Partners (formerly Caxton-Iseman Capital), which acquired it for about $560 million from Nortek in 2004.
