A limited partnership formed by Pioneer Natural Resources to own and acquire oil and gas properties in Spraberry field (in the Permian Basin of West Texas). In 2007 Pioneer Southwest reported proved reserves of 32.7 million barrels of oil equivalent and average production of 5,080 barrels per day. The oil and gas exploration company's properties consist of non-operated working interests in approximately 1,100 identified producing wells. Pioneer Natural Resources, an independent oil and gas exploration and production enterprise, controls 71% of the company.
