The company's stores range in size from 6,000 to 8,000 square feet and offer more than 8,000 pet products. Its stores also provide basic dog, cat, and ferret vaccinations. The company plans to make its offerings available via its Web site. As with its pet superstore competitors, customers can bring their pets shopping with them. Founded in 1973 by Chuck West as Pet Circus, the family-owned company changed its name to Pet Supermarket in 1986 and expanded its offerings.
