PayPal Company Description
PayPal is an eBay junkie's best friend. eBay's eponymous payment system lets users transfer money via personal computer or Web-enabled mobile phone, with transactions charged to the customer's bank account, credit card, or PayPal balance. The company earns fees on payment transactions, foreign exchange, and withdrawals on a foreign bank account, as well as on its customer balances and credit and debit cards. More than 133 million individuals and businesses (mostly individuals) in 100 markets use PayPal. Processing some 1.7 million transactions per day, PayPal accounts for $24 billion of eBay's total payment volume of $52 billion. eBay bought rival payment firm Bill Me Later in 2008 and will add it to PayPal.
