Oculus isn't the name of an all-seeing ancient Latin god or superhero, though it does use super-agents in its fight against the evil super-bug MRSA. Oculus Innovative Sciences works with a proprietary platform technology, Microcyn, a super-oxidized water-based solution designed to safely (i.e., without any known side effects) eliminate a wide range of annoying pathogens (including MRSA) attempting to infect patients with open wounds. Besides use in wound care, the solution has potential applications for use in disinfectants and sterilization, as well as respiratory, dermatology, and dental markets. Oculus' products are primarily sold through partnerships with distributors.
