Miami Dolphins Company Description
Dolphins Enterprises owns and operates the Miami Dolphins professional football team, which has won two Super Bowl championships (its last coming at the end of the 1973 season) and lays claim to the only undefeated season by a National Football League team (in 1972). The franchise has not lacked for opportunities, with five conference titles and numerous playoff appearances. Its roster has included such Hall of Fame players as Larry Csonka, Bob Griese, and Dan Marino. The franchise was founded in 1965 by lawyer Joe Robbie as a member of the American Football Legaue. It joined the NFL ranks when the two leagues merged in 1970. Billionaire Stephen Ross acquired control of the team from Wayne Huizenga in 2009.
