Madison Square Capital is banking on its sound investment decisions. The real estate investment trust (REIT) manages a portfolio consisting primarily of residential (single-family) mortgage-backed securities; it also plans to invest in debentures issued directly by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or the US Department of the Treasury, as well as other debt instruments guaranteed by the US government.
