Imperial College London offers undergraduate and postgraduate education to more than 10,000 students at its campuses in London, Kent, Berks, and Middlesex. The school is known for its science and technology, but it also offers courses in agriculture, business, the humanities, and medicine. The departments are organized into four main faculties: engineering, natural sciences, medicine, and the Tanaka Business School and Humanities, named after alumnus Gary Tanaka. (Famed writer H.G. Wells is also an alumnus.). Imperial College was established in 1907 and has grown through several mergers with other schools.
