Through its subsidiary Dollar Financial Group, the company owns more than 1,000 check-cashing and payday loan stores (and franchises about 200 more locations) in North America and Europe. The stores operate under such names as Money Mart, Loan Mart, and Cash Advance. In addition to check cashing and short-term loans, the stores offer money wiring services, money orders, and reloadable Visa and Mastercarddebit cards to customers who choose not to use, or don't have access to, traditional banks or financial institutions. The company also provides legal document processing services through its We The People retail locations.
