Daily News, L.P. publishes New York City's Daily News, the big city tabloid that goes toe-to-toe with the New York Post (owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation) by penning over-the-top headlines and sensational stories. The paper, founded in 1919, is distributed primarily in the Five Boroughs and boasts a circulation of more than 540,000. It also distributes news and features online through its Web site. The Daily News is owned by real estate magnate Mortimer Zuckerman, who also owns news magazine U.S. News & World Report.
