This link will open in a new window Xanadoo (formerly Pegasus Communications) was a leading independent provider of direct broadcast satellite (DSB) TV, with about 1.1 million subscribers on the DIRECTV platform. After DIRECTV announced plans to end the relationship, subsidiary Pegasus Satellite filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and DIRECTV bought Pegasus' satellite assets for about $938 million. The company is now a high-speed wireless Internet service provider in Texas and Oklahoma.
