The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), known for its black and white panda logo, strives to protect the diversity of life on the planet. The conservation organization has worked on more than 13,000 projects in about 160 countries to save endangered species and natural areas, as well as to address threats such as global warming and the exploitation of forests. WWF operates projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America, and Eurasia with national affiliates in about 100 countries. The group publishes data on endangered wildlife, wild places, and global challenges, such as toxic chemicals and climate change.
