Vacon focuses its production efforts completely on drives and frequency converters, which are modular and customizable to the client's conversion needs. The company has two manufacturing bases in Finland and sales offices in China, Finland, and Singapore. Its smaller sales offices are located worldwide, from Spain to Sweden. Vacon got its start in 1993, when a faction of workers from Vaasa Factories established Vaasa Control. The company's first frequency converter was launched in 1995.
