A school with much more on its mind than cleanliness, the University of Bath enrolls about 13,000 students in dozens of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It is one of the UK's leading universities, recognized for both its teaching and research standards. The University of Bath has 2,700 faculty members. The university is also known for its sports facilities, including the Sports Training Village. Although the University of Bath was chartered in 1966, it traces its roots back to 1856 and the founding of the Bristol Trade School.
