U.S. Central Federal Credit Union is a cooperative "central bank" for a network of about 30 corporate credit unions. These, in turn, represent nearly 7,900 credit unions nationwide. U.S. Central performs a variety of liquidity and cash management functions, such as funds transfer, settlement services, risk management, and custody services. Subsidiary CU Investment Solutions provides investment advisory and brokerage services to the corporate credit unions, while its majority-owned Corporate Network eCom offers bill payment and technology services to the network and its members.
