The Bad Ass Coffee Company of Hawaii is named after the donkeys that used to haul coffee up and down the mountains in Kona, Hawaii, in the good old days. The company is the franchisor of a chain of more than 45 coffee shops (some with drive-thrus) in both US and international locations, including two in Canada, one in Japan, and one in Korea. In addition to selling coffee ready-made, the company also sells its blend of coffee beans. The coffee shops feature an interior design reminiscent of Hawaii (surfboards hanging on the walls and tall -- although fake -- palm trees). Bad Ass's coffee products also are available via the company's Web site. To read the full description, subscribe now.
