Timber! It's a primary concern for Saint-Gobain Building Distribution (SGBD), the operator of more than 4,000 outlets in some two dozen countries. In the UK SGBD operates about 930 outlets. Its two main banners are the 500-plus store Jewson chain (Britain's #2 building materials merchant behind Wolseley), and the 175-store Graham chain, a supplier of plumbing and heat supplies. Both businesses focus on supplying materials mostly to small builders and other retailers. Additionally the company operates Saint-Gobain Tiles Group UK, which includes six separate tile brands, including World's End Tiles.
