The company was founded in Singapore as a food distributor in the 1950's before adding its own food production capabilities starting in the 80's. The company expanded its operations both organically and through acquisitions, adding its bakery operations in 1985, pork in 2001, and dairy in 2004. QAF now owns more than 50 companies.
