Pacific Ethanol operates four grain ethanol plants in California, Idaho, and Oregon. Its total production capacity at the four plants is 200 million gallons annually. The company also owns a 42% stake in Front Range Energy, which operates its own 50 million gallon ethanol facility in Colorado. Pacific Ethanol's biggest customers are Chevron and Valero , together accounting for more than a quarter of its sales.
