Perhaps that's part of the reason why Icelandic Water Holdings, producer of Icelandic Glacial bottled water, uses Iceland's underground Ölfus Spring as the primary source for its spring water product. The company operates a 71,688-square foot bottling facility, situated next to the spring, that is capable of producing up to 30,000 bottles per hour. It exports its bottled water to North America and the UK through third-party distributors, selling most of its products in the US through grocery store chains like Safeway, Kroger, and Publix.
