The Guam Department of Labor puts Guamanians to work. The cabinet-level state agency, headed by the director, uses the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 to form educational programs for workers and businesses. Its Department of Occupational Safety and Health helps firms do business in Guam by offering prevailing wage and hour, worker's compensation, and OSHA-compliance information. The Agency for Human Resources Development, offers employment, training, literacy, and vocational rehabilitation programs for adults, youth workers, senior citizens, and the disabled.
