Even a beautiful Pacific island has its trouble makers. The Guam Department of Corrections steps in when they get caught. The department, known as Depcor, includes four divisions: administration, prison security, diagnostic treatment services, and parole services. It has a single prison (the Adult Correctional Facility) housing about 600 maximum, medium, and short term inmates in 14 units. Other units include those for women, residential substance treatment, community corrections, and federal detention as well as a holding center in the capital of Hagatna for pre-trial and US Marshall detainees.
