    Through various subsidiaries, bubbly beverage maker Grupo Empresarial Bavaria produces and distributes beer, malt beverages, and carbonated and juice drinks. The company, the largest beverage company in Columbia, operates 10 breweries and exports its products to the US, Europe, and Japan. The family of billionaire Julio Mario Santo Domingo (one of South America's richest men) sold its more than 75% ownership of Bavaria to SABMiller in 2005.
