Grupo Modelo wears the corona as Mexico's King of Beers. The brewer dominates the Mexican beer market, commanding a 63% market share. Internationally, the US is Modelo's largest export market. At its seven Mexican breweries, the brewer makes Corona and Corona Light, along with other brands that include Estrella, Leon Negra, Modelo Especial, Montejo, Pacifico, Negra Modelo, and Victoria. Modelo exports its beers to more than 150 countries and operates a chain or more than 700 convenience stores under the Extra and Modelorama moniker. The company is 50%-owned by Anheuser-Busch (A-B) and is the exclusive Mexican importer and distributor of A-B's beers, including Budweiser and Bud Light.
