    Forticell Bioscience (formerly Ortec International) wanted to slip you some skin. The company developed the cryopreserved OrCel wound dressing, made of a collagen matrix and human skin cells, to stimulate new skin growth. Forticell developed the product to treat diabetic foot ulcers and venous stasis ulcers. However, the firm also believed its technology could be used to treat bed sores and in cosmetic surgery procedures. Lonza manufactured OrCel and was to be the therapy's exclusive distributor in the US, Canada, and Mexico. A subsidiary of Teva Pharmaceuticals secured the marketing rights for OrCel in Israel.
