Flying Dog Brewery makes a variety of ales -- a litter of 10 or so, actually -- that are distributed throughout the US and in Canada. Offerings include In Heat Wheat, K-9 Cruiser, Old Scratch Amber, Road Dog Ale, and Tire Bite Golden Ale. In 2006 the company bought Frederick Brewing Co. for about $1.7 million and renamed it Wild Goose. Some of the company's brews have featured labels by Ralph Steadman, the artist and running buddy of the late writer Hunter S. Thompson.
