The carrier provides scheduled passenger and cargo services to more than 100 destinations in about 60 countries around the globe. Emirates operates a fleet of more than 130 Boeing and Airbus jets and about 10 cargo freighters. The airline is owned by the government of Dubai, one of seven city-states that makes up the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
