In addition to its core crude processing refinery, the company has petrochemicals and polyester staple fiber (PSF) plants. Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals is a subsidiary of oil giant Indian Oil Corporation . The refining company was incorporated in 1974 as a central government company and became a subsidiary of Indian Oil in 2001. It is the first local refinery in India that has been integrated with a petrochemical complex in the same location.
