The company's digital network of local and long-distance phone, Internet, and Web hosting services is offered to residential and commercial customers, as well as the government. Its long-distance phone system is spread across 200 cities in Mexico, and one-quarter of those have advanced voice, data, and Internet service. After its $516 million acquisition of Avantel, Axtel is now Mexico's second largest fixed-line integrated telecommunications company. The company is listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange. Axtel gets about three-quarters of its revenues from business customers.
