Abraxus was formerly focused on commercial real estate in the same regions, but changed course in mid-2009 as property markets around the world turned sour. That year, the company set up a subsidiary in Romania to locate and develop investment opportunities. Abraxus has been in a bit of corporate limbo as it seeks to find its niche.
