Aiming to improve on existing monitoring technologies by providing continuous heartbeat monitoring with up to 96 hours of data, the CardioNet System provides prescribing doctors with a more complete picture of heart functions when diagnosing arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms). The system relies on two-way wireless communication -- providing mobility for the patient and remote adjustment for physicians. The CardioNet System is marketed to doctors and patients throughout the US and has been used with more than 130,000 patients.
