Hoover's, Inc. Expands Biographies And Advanced Search Tool On Hoover's Online
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUSTIN, Texas -- May 7, 2002 -- Hoover's, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOOV), a leading provider of business information, today announced enhancements to its Hoover's Online (www.hoovers.com) service. Hoover's Online subscribers now have access to additional relevant information on company and industry leaders, as well as new search fields within Hoover's Advanced Search tool to allow for more targeted queries.
Hoover's Online has expanded its executive biographies to include age, salary, bonus and company address, in addition to biography, name and title. The biographies also now include a listing of other company affiliations - all companies in Hoover's database with which an executive is associated. Certain biographies also contain a new work history section, which details any archived title and salary information.
As a further enhancement, Hoover's Online subscribers can use additional search criteria within Hoover's Advanced Search tool, including stock exchange, assets, auditors and ZIP code range. The entire Hoover's database is now searchable using more than 25 different criteria.
"We're excited to offer expanded biographies and additional search options, since these particular enhancements come in part as a response to the comments and requests of many of our Hoover's Online subscribers," said Russell Secker, Hoover's executive vice president of marketing. "We will continue efforts to provide our customers with the content and tools they need to stay competitive."
