SAN FRANCISCO - March 14, 2002 - Hoover's, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOOV) today announced that the board of directors has appointed the company's president and chief executive officer, Jeffrey R. Tarr, to the additional capacity of board chairman. Tarr replaces former chairman Patrick J. Spain, who continues to serve the company as a director.
