    How deep is the company coverage?

    • Hoover's subscribers can choose to include in-depth information on any or all of the more than 23 million public and private companies and 30 million decision makers we cover.

    How does the coverage vary for large, medium and small companies?

    • Hoover's staff of industry experts covers more than 44,000 companies worldwide that are either large or influential in their industry. Each of these companies has the most comprehensive coverage and is updated frequently. All Hoover's subscribers have access to these companies as part of their base product. For all other companies in the Hoover's database, you can choose the depth of information that best suits your needs. At minimum, all company coverage includes annual sales (when available), key person, line of business, industry, and contact information such as address and phone number.

    What sources are used to build the product?

    • Hoover's proprietary information is compiled by our in-house staff of industry editors, utilizing sources such as public documents, company Web sites, phone interviews, industry-specific trade and market journals, and a wealth of news sources. Hoover's is a D&B company, and our company coverage is supplemented by D&B information gathered using their world-class data collection process.

    • Hoover's offers both professional and individual subscriptions. Pricing for our professional subscriptions starts at $149.99 per month and is based criteria selected such as number of users, downloads, parents and subsidiaries, and more. Individual subscriptions start at $50 per month.

    What If I need information on just one or a few companies?

    • With a Hoover's subscription you will have UNLIMITED access to all company information. However, if you need information on a pay-per-view basis, we provide comprehensive company reports for over 44,000 of the world's largest companies. Prices range from $29 - $69 depending on the amount of information available about the company.

    Do you have a student subscription?

    • We are working with colleges and universities across the country to provide students with access to our service through departments, schools, campus-wide information networks, and academic libraries. If you do not have free access through your school, students can purchase a student subscription online for $50/month.

    How often is your information updated?

    • In many cases our information is updated daily, with updates based on news or key events.

    Does your product focus mainly on the US, or is your coverage global?

    • Hoover's has a truly global database, covering more than 9 million non-US companies. Our database is organized into broad geographic regions such as North America, Europe, UK and Asia Pacific. Subscribers can choose to include any or all regions in their Hoover's subscription.

    • Competitors are hand-picked by Hoover's industry experts based on a company's position in its industry, geography, revenue, and other market factors.

    What tools are available to subscribers?

    • Hoover's provides a variety of tools to assist you effectively manage information. Subscribers can build and download targeted company and executive lists from Hoover's global database using Hoover's Build A List. To create customized, presentation-ready company reports in HTML or PDF format, Hoover's offers a "Build Custom Report" feature. And, subscribers can view corporate linkage, manage risk, and identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with Hoover's Family Tree.

    What is included in the news service?

    • Hoover's provides news coverage from more than 2,000 top worldwide sources such as newspapers, trade journals, news wires, magazines and Web sites. Subscribers can narrow news results by date or date range and sort by news stories or press releases. We also offer the ability to set up news alerts through My Hoover's by ticker symbol, keyword, and/or industry. Alerts are delivered on an immediate basis or via a daily digest at an hour of the subscriber's choosing.

    Can your business information be integrated with my CRM?

    • Hoover's "Build A List" functionality allows you to build a custom list, then export it to a .xls or .csv file which can be uploaded into most CRM systems.
    • We have also developed a seamless integration solution in partnership with salesforce.com called Access Hoover's. Salesforce users have access to Hoover's data and functionality through the Salesforce interface, as well as the ability to download Hoover's data directly to Salesforce.
